Update...finally!

Well, even though things have been absolutely crazy lately, I remembered I have got to get back to blogging!

I never intended to buy another house but here I am. I bought a house by a man-made lake. We handled the move a little better than the one 6 years ago.

Moving.............sigh.....

Well...it's been a heck of a month. I had no idea of the emotional toll it takes to buy a house. The waiting and more waiting and having the last delay come right before the week-end. And after the day from heck at work, I was glad to have the entire week OFF! Now it seems that the Tuesday is the big moving day...at least I hope so! And then the real hard work begins....

Drowning in boxes

Ya know, it never amazes me how much stuff we collect throughout the years. But you sure do when you have to begin the monumental process of moving.

A Muse Challenge #16

Here's another card for the challenge. I recently went to M's this week-end, big mistake! They had the new MS border punches. I went and bought a few of the, including the one I used on this card, "family". Darn you, MS! Oh well!

A Muse Challenge #16

This is a card I made for the A Muse monthly challenge for May. This one is called 2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate! I luv punches! So this is a simple card with A Muse sentiments.

Okay, now down to bidness!

Here is a card I created for one of the challenges from A Muse. The challenge is called "Celebrations!". A Muse is celebrating their 9th birthday/anneversary. So I thought to make a card for them!

Back to Reality

Well, now that vacation is over and life has settled into it's rut, I am reminded of how life is a finite thing. We are born, grow up, grow old, then the inevitable happens. RIP Uncle Jim. I always got a kick out of you! You will be missed!

Looking forward to Vacation!

This year I am travelling, again to Seattle. This will be my 3rd time being there. This time I would like to have more time to shop!

One of the stores I will be hitting is A Muse! My favorite little stamp co. I spent very little time in this shop the last time I went to Seattle. This was in June 2009. This time I will be spending alot more time there, looking at all of the samples that they have. Perhaps taking a photo or 2.

Also while I'm in the vicinity, I will be driving up north towards Mt Vernon. They have tulip fields that will be blooming (hopefully).

Then, hopefully if there is time left over I would love to go back to Poulsbo, to my other favorite spot, the Rubber Soul. When I was there last time the ladies behind the counter were so sweet to me and they also gave me a bonus for shopping there. I guess it helped that I was their only customer at the time.

After the time spent in Seattle is done, I will then travel to South Dakota. In all of my travels I haven't really taken the time to travel middle America. I have never been to see Mount Rushmore or it's environs. This will give me ample photo-ops. I just hope I can do it justice.

My First Blog Post

I have said to myself many times. Wow, that's a cool blog, I wish I had the courage to do that!
So I thought I'd give it a go.

The name of the blog comes from favorite things: Animals and Crafting.

A reason for this blog is to document certain creative projects. Also I love to travel, and try to go to places I've never been before, rather than go with the crowds. Sharing those memories with other people on this blog is much better that lugging the photo album around, when I remember to grab it in the first place....
